Lot of Misc. Personal Items Belonging to Col. William Betts Keeler: (1) featuring his what appears to be 18K gold capped walking stick, inscribed ''From 35th Iowa Inf. To Col. W.B. Keeler, Oct. 2nd, 1889'', with ebony shaft measuring 36'' in length. (2) Several personal ledgers, one dealing with his around-the-world trip Oct. 16, 1909. (3) Several postcards and misc. correspondence. (4) Large document from the Military Order of the Loyal Legion of the United States, dated 1883. (5) Keeler's last GAR button showing the Colonel at age 86, with a small folding pocket ruler. (6) H&R Top-Break Double Action Revolver, NVSN, .38 S&W cal., 3-1/4'' barrel, nickel finish, vignette hard rubber grips, in good condition retaining little original nickel, but with crisp grips and action; bore is very good. All remaining items are in fine condition, with the exception of the large document, which shows extensive foxing and water damage. Est.: $800-$1,200/lot.
