<B>Early Connecticut Pay Orders.</B></I> A group of two early Connecticut financial documents including a pay order, 6.5” x 4.5”, single sided, dated May 27, 1790, hole cancelled, signed by Treasurer Peter Colt (grandfather of Samuel Colt) and comptroller Ralph Pomeroy. The cancellation has affected Pomeroy's signature, else it is in very good condition. The other example is a payment note, 7” x 4”, single sided, dated February 26, 1789, hole cancelled, signed by Oliver Wolcott, Jr., comptroller.
