Bunker Hill lot of four, comprising: (1) a centennial program commemorating Bunker Hill one hundred years after the epic Revolutionary War battle. Program opens with a lengthy poem about the battle by Oliver Wendell Holmes. Heavily illustrated with drawings, maps and portraits including those of Generals Gage and Warren and Major-General Howe. Runs 16pp. Measures 7.5'' x 10.25''. Toning, staining, chipping to edges of covers and detached rear cover. Good; (2) book titled, ''Proceedings of the Bunker Hill Monument Association and Centennial Celebration, June 17 1875'', self-published by the Association: Boston: 1875. Volume contains a wealth of information related to the Association's personnel and operations, including the speech given by the Hon. Charles Devens, Jr., as well as budget data and details of the final celebration. Runs 216pp. Bound in maroon textured paper boards with gilt lettering and design. Top edge gilt. Measures 6.5'' x 9.75''. Wear to exterior, bookplate affixed to front pastedown and stamping to fly leaf. Very good; (3) partially-printed document issued by the Association inducting one Amos Adams as a member, likely the preacher and patriot Amos Adams, who championed the Revolution. Document bears 19 facsimile signatures of Association members and a vignette at the top. Fragile single-page document measures 11'' x 13''. Paper loss to right edge, tears and toning, else good. (4) ribbon issued upon completion of the Bunker Hill Monument in 1843. Delicate ribbon bears an image of the obelisk-shaped monument, which was constructed of granite on Breed's Hill.
