Lot of Assorted Charles Lindbergh Memorabilia
Lot of Assorted Charles Lindbergh "The Lone Eagle" Memorabilia, including a 1923 University of Wisconsin Badger yearbook containing a picture and reference to Lindbergh as a member of the Pistol Club; an Underwood photo postcard of Lindbergh at the controls of an aircraft (presumably the "Spirit of St. Louis"), a February 20-21, 1928 Col. Charles A. Lindbergh Farewell Airmail Flight first day cover; a Lindbergh 6th Anniversary New York to Paris first day cover; and two real photo postcards of an unidentified biplane crash site. Charles Lindbergh (1902-1974) known as "Lucky Lindy" and "The Lone Eagle" was famous for being the first aviator to fly the Atlantic non-stop from New York to Paris in 1927. Lindbergh dropped out of the University of Wisconsin in 1922 so any reference to him in the 1923 yearbook would be unusual. The yearbook is in very good shape, but both the front and rear hinges are cracked, typical for books of this massive size. The postcards and first day covers are likewise in very good condition.

Shipping: Books & Catalogs (view shipping information)
