Niven, and C. Forster Hayward. 4to. Original black cloth with gilt to spine, large gilt armorial on front cover. Engravings, line drawings, and several full-color illustrations. Good. Light wear, scratches, head and foot of spine bumped, internal hinge slightly loose, endpapers foxed, some occasional light foxing internally but mostly clean, previous owners' inscriptions. 2. ROBERTSON, WILLIAM. The History of Scotland, During the Reigns of Queen Mary and of King James VI. Albany: E. and E. Hosford, 1822. Vol. II. Full brown leather with blue and red gilt labels to the spine. Frontispiece engraving of author.  Fair. No. 96 of a limited edition of 385 printed on hand-made paper. Original red cloth, paper label to spine. 19 tipped-in color illustrations.  Good. Sun fading and light scratches, wear, endpapers foxed but internal pages clean. 4. RITCHIE, LEITCH. Heath's Picturesque Annual. For 1840. Windsor Castle and its Environs. London: Longman, Orme, Brown, Green, and Longmans; New York: Appleton and Co.; and Paris: Fisher and Co., n. d. 8vo. With 15 engravings. Original green cloth, gilt to cover and spine, blind-stamp on back, all edges gilt. Fair. Cloth of spine is detached and sun-faded/soiled; internal front hinge is split, toning.
