Lot of 4 19th century shotgun flasks. 1) marked American Flask & Cap Co, measuring 8-5/8” from tip to end. 4-stage charger showing measures from 3 to 4 drams, fancy embossed body, with fox, stag, and leaves. The flask is in good condition showing 20-40% darkened lacquer, good seams, original hangars and leather, spring good but bending up. 2) Shotgun flask by American Flask & Cap Co, measures 8-1/4” from tip to end, shell design, 4-stage charger, 3-3-3/4 drams of powder, nicely hand-engraved body with initials RG. The flask shows a good patina, some repair at the seams, original rings, spring weak. 3) Unmarked American style embossed powder flask measuring 7-1/8” from tip to end showing hanging game, 50-70% lacquer, some dents, 4-stage charger, unmarked, somewhat light and inexpensive quality, spring good. 4) embossed powder flask in the leaf design, marked American Flask & Cap, measures 7-1/2”, 4-state charger, 2-3 grams of powder, good mustard color patina.
