Lot of 3 Lima, Peru, early-pillars-type 4R (1) and 2R (2), Philip II, assayer Rincon. 20.27 grams total. Generally rare and desirable as the first coins minted in South America, but all with surface corrosion and small pieces of edge missing, still with some bold details and toned fields for contrast. Recovered from: Unidentified ca.-1590 wreck off the Yucatán peninsula of Mexico
