Lot of 3 Deputy Game Warden badges in wood and glass shadow box having previously belonged to Western Lawman Fred Lambert, showing three different styles; first, a brass shield “Deputy Game Warden, State ofNew Mexico” with buffalo skull and saying “Remember the Buffalo” in the center of the badge; second, a large nickeled cut-out star in shield with “Deputy” in the center and “NEW MEXICO” at the top and “GAME WARDEN” atthe bottom; last, a small lapel 5-pointed star “Deputy Game Warden”. All together, Lambert spent about 35 years in Official service from Deputy Sheriff to NM Mounted Police, Cattle Inspector, U.S.D. SpecialOfficer, Town Marshal and of course, Deputy Game Warden. He is a legend in New Mexico and was the subject of many articles on his activities and work in keeping law and order in and around the Cimarron. Est.:$2,000-$4,000.
