Lot of 3 19th century flap holsters, 2 carved and 1 plain. The lighter colored flap holster shows tooling, carving and embossing, with portrait of cowboy on horseback, loop for belt attachment removed, seam reinforcedduring a later period of use. The condition is good, normal scuffs, fits a Second Model American single action well, 7-1/2 barrel single action Colt, 1878 DA Colt, and Merwin & Hulbert Frontiers. The darker holster isthe same universal design, shows a plug in the bottom, original stitching, the belt loop is retained and shows the markings 308X and 7-1/2". Just slightly different than the lighter color holster but the same maker.The third is an 1878 Colt DA holster, 7-1/2", plain leather, missing stud for attaching flap, shows extra punch hole, belt loop still attached in good condition; type found in Canada with Mounty Colts.
