Lot of 2 unidentified woven wool blankets. No. 1 is a saddle blanket size and probably Navajo showing unusual pattern and colors which we cannot identify. The blanket measures 28” x 27” and is almost square. The condition is good with some slight fading and aging. The 2nd blanket is very well woven on old style loom in a Navajo Indian pattern with unusual features and knots to the fringe (8 strands). The sole blanket has an American Indian pattern but may have been woven in the south west near Santa Fe or in Mexico. The blanket shows age and measures approximately 60” x 40”. There is opening or spacing between the pattern which we have never seen on another rug. Condition is good with normal aging. Both rugs were collected many years ago out West. Keith and Lori Candee collection. Est.: $175-$350.
