a) Spanish model rolling block, NVSN, .43 Spanish caliber, 23” barrel, military style sight, standard carbine style wood. Besides Spain these carbines were produced for many South American countries and saw use in the Spanish-American War. CONDITION: Bore is dark, iron is brown overall, solid wood.
b) NVSN, 20” barrel, circa 1890s, block is frozen so exact caliber is not available, but it appears to be .44 caliber which was the most prevalent in this rifle, standard carbine wood, correct sights front and back, saddle ring has been removed, usually to eliminate noise, leather sling looks like it’s been there forever. CONDITION: barrel is dark brown with surface oxidation, dark bore, frame is mottled silver, wood is solid with use dings, no main spring.
