Lot includes a total of (10) 1 oz .999 fine silver rounds.
This silver round was struck by the Highland Mint. Highland Mint, or HM, is an American private Mint. The silver round is made of .999 fine silver and weighs 1 Troy oz.
The Peace Dollar is one of America’s most cherished coin designs, so it comes as no surprise that it would be used as the inspiration for this fantastic 1 Troy oz. .999 fine silver round. The United States Peace Dollar was created just after the end of the First World War in order to commemorate the peaceful time that the United States and much of the rest of the globe were experiencing after defeating the Central Powers of Europe in 1918.
The original Peace Dollar design was created by Italian-American sculptor Anthony de Francisci and was completed just in time for the United States Mint facility to manufacture approximately 1 million coins prior to the end of the year in 1921. The obverse of this bullion round bears a semblance to the front of the original peace dollar coin with the main design element being represented by a lovely rendition of Lady Liberty facing left in profile, wearing a tiara of rays on the crown of her head. The reverse of this .999 fine silver Peace Dollar inspired round boasts an American Bald Eagle image similar to the original design. The eagle can be observed as it stands perched on the crest of a mound or a mountain-top, clutching a single olive twig in its talons, while facing the rays of the rising sun in the east. The legends on the reverse of the coin have been replaced with the words “SILVER BULLION ROUND†and inscribed with the standard purity of “.999 FINE SILVER†followed by the issue weight of “ONE TROY OZ.â€
Each silver bullion round will be manufactured from only the highest quality .999 fine silver that is available and will weigh 1 standard Troy oz.
These rounds are still in the same condition they were in when they left Highland Mint. Each one has a standard finish and is in Brilliant Uncirculated condition.
