BLADE RUNNER (1982) - Geoff Hutchins Collection: February 1981 133-page Draft Script

A draft script from the production of Ridley Scott's sci-fi classic Blade Runner. The script was written by Hampton Fancher and David Webb Peoples, based on the novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Philip K. Dick. This lot comes from the family of Blade Runner archivist Geoff Hutchins.

Comprising 133 pages of hole-punched A4 paper, the script is bound by metal clips inside a blue plastic cover. It is dated "23.02.81", two weeks before principal photography commenced. The script includes white, blue, yellow and pink pages, which were coloured to enable the reader to keep track of amendments. Subsequent amendments were made during filming, including Rutger Hauer's addition of his character Roy Batty's iconic "Tears in the rain" monologue. Dimensions: 28.5 cm x 23 cm x 1.5 cm (11 1/2" x 9" x 1/2")
