BLADE RUNNER (1982) - Geoff Hutchins Collection: December 1980 140-page Draft Script

A draft script from the production of Ridley Scott's sci-fi classic Blade Runner. The script was written by Hampton Fancher and David Webb Peoples, based on the novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Philip K. Dick. This lot comes from the family of Blade Runner archivist Geoff Hutchins.

Comprising 140 pages of hole-punched A4 paper, the script is bound by metal clips inside a red plastic cover. It is dated "22.12.80", three months before principal photography commenced. Several amendments were later made during filming, including Rutger Hauer's addition of his character Roy Batty's iconic "Tears in the rain" monologue. This script gives a fascinating insight into the development of a sci-fi masterpiece. Dimensions: 28.5 cm x 22 cm x 1.5 cm (11 1/2" x 8 3/4" x 1/2")

Estimate: GBP 1500 - 3000 M
