Document Signed ('O. Ellsworth'), 1 page, 8' x 5', Hartford, December 29, 1775. Choice Very Fine. Being an order to pay a militia captain, Abel Spencer - paymaster of the 10th Company 6th Regiment - the sum of 226 pounds. With a note on the verso by said Spicer stating receipt of funds.

Ellsworth signed as member of ConnecticutÕs Committee of the Pay Table, which supervised the colonyÕs military expenditures.
