BLADE (1998) - Screen-matched Blood Bag Transport Box

A screen-matched blood bag transport box from Stephen Norrington's action thriller Blade. Blade (Wesley Snipes) and Vanessa (Sanaa Lathan) discovered a medical transport cooling box filled with donor blood bags in the boot of Officer Krieger's (Kevin Patrick Walls) car. The pattern of the dirt marks and the damage to the lid and front match the box to the one seen on screen.

This cream plastic cool box, originally a US Navy shipping and storage container, comprises an interior metal grill and frame; an empty metal gas cylinder and pressure gauge, which are attached to the front; a metal plaque that reads "Property of the U.S. Navy" affixed the right side; six blood bags filled with stage blood; and a light-up device with green and red lights, which flash when activated by the switch on its base. The lid displays red "Hillburn Clinic" and "Front" decals, and is secured by eight latch locks. It is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the productions 1st assistant prop master, Al Eisenmann II. The box exhibits dirt marks, discolourations and rust from production use and age. Dimensions: 49 cm x 59 cm x 37 cm (19 1/4" x 23 1/4" x 14 1/2")

Contains electronics; see electronics notice in the Buyer's Guide.
