Misc. Lot of Nine (9) Swords, Two (2) Leather Rifle Scabbards, and One Bayonet: 1) U.S. Model 1860 enlisted cavalry saber, by Emerson and Silver, cracked wood grip, no grip wire, uncleaned patina. 2) Model 1840 German Import cavalry saber with straight blade, by Walscheid in Solingen, old uncleaned patina. 3) Mexican cavalry saber in relic condition, marked Wyer G? with hat/cap logo on ricasso. 4) U.S. Civil War NCO sword, double marked to Horstmann and Collins, and dated 1862, shortened blade, bent guard. 5) U.S. Civil War musicians sword, by Ames, dated 1862, broken quillion, bent guard, blunted blade. 6) British style Masonic/Fraternal sword, horn grip, brass fittings, blunt double-edged blade, fair condition. 7) Child's small cavalry sword, probably European, broken guard. 8) 1796 Pattern British heavy cavalry enlisted sword with scabbard, blade marked to Redell & Bate(s), blade bent at rear, quillion broken off, mouth fitting of scabbard missing, relic condition. 9) Revolutionary War era short Hunting type hanger sword, worn by some officers. Relic condition, blade heavily rusted and pitted, maybe ground dug. Crossguard decoration broken off, cracked wood grip with loose original wire wrapping. This could be the sleeper of the group. 10) Small rifle/carbine leather scabbard, 27'' in length, with original leather strap and buckle. Rough shape, but pliable. 11. Leather rifle scabbard, 30'' in length, marked at top ''Rock Island Arsenal E.H.S.''. Stiff cracked leather, one broken strap tab. 12) ''US'' marked triangular socket bayonet, for Springfield Trapdoor series infantry rifles, with rotating ring, marked ''(dot)/US'' at throat, in very good condition.
