THE GOLDEN GIRLS (1985-1992) - Rich Weaver Collection: Betty White's Handwritten Letters to Estelle Getty with Scripts and Promotional Ephemera - Betty White's handwritten letters to her The Golden Girls co-star Estelle Getty with scripts and various ephemera promoting the comedy series. This set comes from the collection of Estelle Getty's personal assistant and friend, Rich Weaver, and consists of two letters handwritten to Getty in ink on White's personal letterhead; a card from White to Getty featuring a photo of three dogs on the cover; a black-and-white photograph of Getty at the Guide Dogs for the Blind Holiday Luncheon; a "First Be Best Then Be First" NBC booklet with two pages of primetime audience estimates; a color-printed cast photo autographed by Getty, Rue McClanahan, and Bea Arthur; a color-printed headshot autographed by White; an issue of Variety promoting the 100th episode of The Golden Girls, an "as broadcast" script for the episode "Valentine's Day;" and final draft scripts for the episodes "Scared Straight," "Till Death Do We Volley," "The Commitments," "Little Sister," "Questions & Answers," "Hey, Look Me Over," "Big Daddy's Little Lady," "Twice in a Lifetime," and "Never Yell Fire in a Crowded Retirement Home, Part I." The latter script doesn't have a traditional printed cover, but rather the cover is hand-marked "Clip Show #153". Four of the scripts are labeled for Getty and one is signed "Estelle." This lot exhibits minor discoloration, as well as corner and edge wear to the paper elements. Dimensions (scripts): 8.5" x 11" x 0.5" (21.75 cm x 28 cm x 1.5 cm)
