ALIEN (1979) - Production-made Nostromo Patch and John Mollo Hand-drawn and Hand-coloured Concept Artwork

A production-made USCSS Nostromo patch and a set of John Mollo concept art from the production of Ridley Scott's sci-fi horror Alien. This lot originates from the private collection of the late John Fabb of A.R. Fabb Bros, the film's patch maker.

The concept designs are largely hand-coloured over copies of the original artwork, but one illustration is rendered in pencil. Each artwork features hand-annotations for Fabb's reference. The Nostromo patch is the final design, and the concepts also include badges/pins and rank insignias/wing patch designs worn by various characters in the film. The patch and artworks are adhered to card backing. The patch shows very little wear, having been in the maker's archive since the day it was finished. Dimensions: 42 cm x 59.5 cm (16 1/2" x 23 1/2")

Sold without copyright; see copyright notice in the Buyer's Guide.

Estimate: GBP 3000 - 6000 M
