THE AFRICAN QUEEN (1951) - Charlie Allnut (Humphrey Bogart) Unfinished Miniature Figure

An unfinished Charlie Allnut (Humphrey Bogart) miniature figure from the production of John Huston's adventure film The African Queen. At the outbreak of World War I, Allnut and missionary Rose Sayer (Katharine Hepburn) escaped German East Africa on Allnut's steamboat the African Queen.

Miniature models of Allnut and Sayer were used to film various sequences, such as the African Queen's negotiation of dangerous rapids. This model of Allnut comprises a rubber exterior encasing a biscuit-foam interior. It remains unfinished, and is painted black with some untrimmed seams. It exhibits areas of white paint on the back from production use. Dimensions: 6 cm x 15 cm x 32.5 cm (2 1/2" x 6" x 12 3/4")

Estimate: GBP 500 - 1000 M
