STAR WARS: VARIOUS PRODUCTIONS - Anthony Daniels Collection: Three Pairs of Collector's Edition Prototype C-3PO Sunglasses Autographed by Anthony Daniels

Three pairs of Anthony Daniels-autographed collector's edition prototype C-3PO sunglasses produced to celebrate the 40th anniversary of George Lucas' Star Wars.

Made by Parasite Eyewear and licenced by Opal, each pair features slightly different metal frames and tinted lenses, and two are engraved "#997/999". All three are presented in a large black collector's box embossed with a golden C-3PO face, and each pair is held in a sunglasses case with two fabric pouches (one for the frame and one for the detachable grill component). Accompanying these is a typed note from Disney France reading, "Happy to offer you this very first prototype". The three cases and collectors box all feature Anthony Daniels' autograph in gold pen. Dimensions (collector's box): 33 cm x 23.5 cm x 8.5 cm (13" x 9 1/4" x 3 1/4"); (each case): 15.5 cm x 7.5 cm x 5.5 cm (6 1/4" x 3" x 2 1/4")

Additional Provenance: This lot comes from the personal collection of actor Anthony Daniels. Daniels plays loyal protocol droid C-3PO in the Star Wars saga. He first appeared in the role in 1977 and is the only actor to appear in all Star Wars feature films to date.
