Very Good condition - 5.75" barrel - RARE & SCARCE - AKA New Model Pocket Army or Transition Model -finish thinning to gray patina, remnants of bright nickel in protected areas - 2-piece wood grips in good condition with minor wear/handling marks - front worn down blade & rear frame notch sights - very faint barrel address - no assembly numbers found - low 3-digit SN under left grip - Appears to be the scarce American single action revolver - New Model Pocket Army or Transition Model - less than 1,000 made - this model was listed in the 1889 Hartley and Graham catalog and discussed in June 1992 Gun Report and 1980 American Rifleman "Scarce Army" articles - Flayderman's Guide theorizes that this model was made specifically for Hartley and Graham from existing parts when they took over Remington Arms Company in 1888 - good lock-up/timing - lanyard ring stud appears to have been cut - bottom of frame appears cracked at end of mainspring - yr. mfg: 1888-1889 - SN 145 - est. 2000- 4000 - Antq - 25SBBKS001
