The Remington Army revolver is a large-framed, in .44 caliber, one of the major handguns of the Civil War after the Colt factory fire - finish to gray patina, light freckling on frame around cylinder - bright brass color on triggerguard - tool marks at cylinder pin - walnut grips in good condition - visible GP cartouche on left grip - front screw-in type blade & rear frame notch sights - legible 3-line barrel address - SN under grips - cylinder face marked 83 & 84 - sub-inspector stamps (J, W, P, F) on various parts - tight lock-up/timing - yr. mfg: 1863-1873 - SN 90053 - est. 1500 - 3000 - Antq - 25BBBRCKS040
