STAR WARS: RETURN OF THE JEDI (1983) - Anthony Daniels Collection: Unopened "C-3PO's" Cereal Box

An unopened "C-3PO's" cereal box from the promotion of Richard Marquand's Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. Produced by Kellogg's in 1984 alongside a series of live-action commercials, this Star Wars-themed cereal originally consisted of unsweetened O-shaped pieces. However, it was reworked with a sweetened recipe, the shape changed and parts of the commercials reshot. The final "C-3PO's" were honey-sweetened, double-O shaped cereal pieces, which Anthony Daniels referred to as "C-3P8's", due to the fact that they now resembled small figures of eight.

This cardboard cereal box features C-3PO (Daniels) on the front holding a bowl of "C-3PO's" and strawberries, and a cut-out mask of Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) on the back. It remains unopened, with a "Better if used Before" date of "DEC 21 1984" and exhibits minor creases from handling and age. Dimensions: 29.5 cm x 19 cm x 6.5 cm (11 3/4" x 7 1/2" x 2 1/2")

Please note that this lot is not deemed fit for consumption.

Additional Provenance:

This lot comes from the personal collection of actor Anthony Daniels. Daniels plays loyal protocol droid C-3PO in the Star Wars saga. He first appeared in the role in 1977 and is the only actor to appear in all Star Wars feature films to date.
