STAR WARS: A NEW HOPE (1977) - Anthony Daniels Collection: Vintage Diecast Takara C-3PO Rocket Firing Figure and Box

A diecast Takara C-3PO rocket firing figure from the promotion of George Lucas' Star Wars: A New Hope. Released in 1978, this C-3PO figure was unique to the Japanese market and among the earliest Star Wars related toys. The diecast metal and plastic figure features a foil sticker around the waist. Presented in its original box, the figure comes complete with two unused small black missiles attached to a sprue, a display stand and a small booklet. The stand and box display minor wear, with small tears on the lid. Dimensions (box): 18.5 cm x 10.25 cm x 7 cm (7 1/4" x 4 1/4" x 2 3/4")

Additional Provenance: This lot comes from the personal collection of actor Anthony Daniels. Daniels plays loyal protocol droid C-3PO in the Star Wars saga. He first appeared in the role in 1977 and is the only actor to appear in all Star Wars feature films to date.
