1887 Liberty Seated Quarter Dollar. Fully struck and glossy smooth mirrors throughout, no distracting hairlines present, and top-notch attractive original color. The toning makes a nice transition from russet to deep lavender-gray with some steel blue iridescence. This is one of those "must have" issues from the low-mintage 1879-89 period. For all of 1887, the mintage totaled only 10,710 pieces, of which the Proofs comprised 710. (#5588)
