STAR WARS: A NEW HOPE (1977) - Anthony Daniels Collection: Framed Ralph McQuarrie Concept Art Signed by McQuarrie

Framed Ralph McQuarrie concept art. Commissioned by George Lucas, McQuarrie created this concept artwork depicting C-3PO (Anthony Daniels) and R2-D2 (Kenny Baker) in a desert landscape to help sell the look of Lucas' galactic adventure to studio executives at Twentieth Century Fox. Daniels fell in love with this image, and it inspired him to take the C-3PO role. The print features McQuarrie's autograph and he has separately signed his name along the border in black pen. The print is housed in a silver-coloured metal frame with a metal D-ring at the rear. Dimensions: 27 cm x 15 cm x 3 cm (10 1/2" x 6" x 1 1/4")

Additional Provenance: This lot comes from the personal collection of actor Anthony Daniels. Daniels plays loyal protocol droid C-3PO in the Star Wars saga. He first appeared in the role in 1977 and is the only actor to appear in all Star Wars feature films to date.
