1795 Flowing Hair Half Dime. The strike is well above average for the issue, with only slight weakness on the upper curls of Liberty, the eagle's breast and right (facing) wing. Of importance to the collector is the lack of normally seen adjustment marks on either side. This is a pleasing lustrous example of the early Flowing Hair style half dime, a coin every collector needs for a Type set since the 1794 issue is very expensive in Mint condition and thus cannot be considered unless you have deep pockets. A large die break covers the tops of TY in LIBERTY and also involves the adjacent star. There is a further thin die crack down through the same T to Liberty's eyebrow. Very scarce so nice! (#4251)
