STAR WARS: A NEW HOPE (1977) - Anthony Daniels Collection: Anthony Daniels' Loose Fourth-draft Script Pages

A collection of Anthony Daniels' loose script pages from the production of George Lucas' Star Wars: A New Hope. This lot features 101 fourth-draft script pages dated "4/19/76" and printed on either white or pink paper. C-3PO's dialogue is highlighted with an ink line next to each section, and some of the scene numbers are circled. "Master Luke Sir" is handwritten by Daniels on the back of page 73. Daniels had to come into the studio months after principal photography to re-record his lines about the tractor beam, as the original dialogue in these script pages didn't explain what a tractor beam was. Dimensions (each page): 28 cm x 21.5 cm x 1.5 cm (11" x 8 1/2" x 3/4")

Additional Provenance: This lot comes from the personal collection of actor Anthony Daniels. Daniels plays loyal protocol droid C-3PO in the Star Wars saga. He first appeared in the role in 1977 and is the only actor to appear in all Star Wars feature films to date.

Estimate: GBP 1000 - 2000 M
