1881 Nickel Three Cents. Again, a satiny gem Proof of the three-cent nickel design. Graceful underlying luster supports pale proof iridescence. A eye-appealing example of the date, just as fully struck as you might expect for the Proof 66 grade, with strong detail in the head, III, and wreath. Curious for a Proof, a few rim denticles are soft. (#3777)
