PKZ stands for Paul Kehl of Zurich, who in 1881 founded Switzerland’s first large scale men’s clothing firm. Though this subsequently became Berger-Kehl, PKZ carried over as the trademark of the firm’s men’s wear and as the name of its stores. To the poster world, those letters stand for a remarkable body of outstanding posters the firm has commissioned in the past eighty years. This windswept couple out for a walk along the boardwalk clearly exemplify the PKZ commitment to both fashion and artistry. The wonderful image of their spirited conversation coupled with the splendid detailing of both outfits (most notably the riding crop as accessory chic) create an irresistible eyeful.
