Hewelt, the master puppeteer, is best known to us from ChÈret’s poster for his appearance at the MusÈe Grevin (see No. 328). Here, he has the whole cast on a string, including musicians, the famed LoÔe Fuller, and even, it seems, the appreciative box-seated audience. A rare and wonderful representation.
