Years before an underaged Brooke Shields scandalously confessed that nothing came between her and her Calvins, Van Bladel showed the world that slipping into a pair of Levi’s was as good as slithering into a very tight second skin. A directly clever, succinct statement. The Antwerp-born designer was the art director at Young & Rubicam International in Brussels where this remarkable poster was created.
