Lot 572 (9HM10): Gallager carbine manufactured by Richardson & Overman, .50 cal., 22” round barrel, wood stock with iron patchbox, #14316. This gun is in overall good to very good condition showing a brown patina to the barrel with scattered piprick pitting, a silvery case frame and a brown patina lock plate with sharp markings. The bore is very good, the action is crisp and the wood is overall very good with just an old crack at the top right butt stock just behind the framejunction, also a “C 16” is stamped at the rear of the left side of the butt stock; saddle ring and bar retained . This carbine is in “out-of-the-attic” condition and the way collectors love to see. Est.: $1,250-$2,500.
