An Academy Award nomination certificate plaque for John G. Avildsen's Academy Award-winning boxing drama Rocky. The certificate commemorates the film's 1976 Oscar nomination for Outstanding Achievement in Sound, one of its 10 nominations that year, including Best Picture.

This printed certificate is affixed to a gold and black-painted wooden Perma Plaque mount. It is addressed to nominees Harry Warren Tetrick, William McCaughey, Lyle Burbridge, and Bud Alper, and signed in ink by then-AMPAS President Walter Mirisch and Secretary Leo Chaloukian.

The certificate is in good overall condition with a few scuffs from handling and tape residue on the reverse of the plaque.
