1911-S $20 St. Gaudens. Well struck with smooth, velvety luster and pale orange-gold shades. This has the distinctive sharp devices and deeply impressed rims of 1911-S (while the D-mint issue lacks robustness along the rims). Generally scarce above MS64, a coin of this caliber brings out the bidders from their cubbyholes and mountaintop retreats to bid. (#9159)
