12.5” x 8.5” broadside on newsprint, printed in Spanish, and signed in print by Ascension Gomez, the “Boss of the Brigades of South-Central Tamaulipas.” Addressed to soldiers in formal Spanish, Gomez expresses pride in the military campaign thus far, seeks to preserve the peace. “Soldiers: We marched to the Capital of Tamaulipas in obedience to the orders of the Supreme Government. Loyal to the banner of the National Independence ...
