BLACK SABBATH - David Tangye Collection: Set of Assorted Photographs and Four Promotional Postcards

A collection of assorted photographs and four promotional postcards featuring the band members of the rock band Black Sabbath. The images include candid shots of rehearsals, backstage and various locations during tours in the 1970s. The lot comprises four large black-and-white images, 17 smaller images; two Polaroids of Ozzy Osbourne; two additional candid shots of Osbourne; two passport photos of Osbourne, two black-and-white passport photos of guitarist Tony Iommi; a passport photo of bassist Geezer Butler; a photobooth strip of Osbourne and drummer Bill Ward; and four postcards promoting Black Sabbath's Technical Ecstasy album. The larger images exhibit signs of creasing and edge wear. Dimensions (largest): 29.5 cm x 22 cm (11 1/2" x 8 3/4")

Additional Provenance: This lot comes from the personal collection of David Tangye. He worked closely with Black Sabbath and went on to be Ozzy Osbournes personal assistant. He co-authored How Black Was Our Sabbath: An Unauthorised View From The Crew with fellow crew member Graham Wright.
