1807 $5 Capped Bust.. Minor adjustment lines through the cap. Most original luster remains within the devices and throughout the fields on both sides. A scarce, well struck example of this transitional year. 1807 produced both the capped bust right design (last of the heraldic eagle reverses) and this modified John Reich motif in which Liberty faces the other way and the eagle has been simplified with none of the fancy stuff cluttering the space above its head. Now there appears a ribbon with the motto E PLURIBUS UNUM in the space provided. (#8092)
