Noting receipt of “one hundred and seventy eight 50/100 dollars” from the Esteemed James H. McCoy, “being the amount of State and County Tax for 1854, as assessed: On 3000 acres of land, value $24000 ... On 1 Carriages ... On 1 Clocks ... On 97 Slaves ... On 2 Pistols .... On 1 Watches ...
