THE THING (2011) - Henrik-Thing Autopsy Body - A Henrik-Thing autopsy body from Matthijs van Heijningen Jr.'s sci-fi horror film The Thing. The scientists at Thule performed an autopsy on the Henrik-Thing after they killed it with a flamethrower for absorbing Henrik (Jo Adrian Haavind).

Designed and created by studioADI, this lot consists of a large sculpture of a charred Thing and a replica human body. Made of plastic and foam with an internal metal armature, latex and silicone, this sculpture relied on practical effects and a contrast of textures to convey a once living alien, complete with translucent, wet insides. Only the Henrik replica body was digitally painted over. This lot exhibits grime from age; cracked latex; exposed joints and foam; and also fragile and broken appendages. Dimensions: 144" x 67.25" x 60" (366 cm x 171 cm x 152.5 cm)

Special shipping required; see notice in the Buyer's Guide.

Estimate: $5,000 - 10,000
