BEATLES, THE - Set of Unpublished and Autographed Photos

Set of 14 unpublished black-and-white photographs taken at the Floral Hall Ballroom in Morecambe, and three additional larger autographed images.

The 14 unpublished photographs include a shot of all four members of the Beatles and one image of John Lennon alone taken when they performed at the Floral Hall Ballroom on 18 January 1963. The remaining 12 feature other bands during various performances at the same venue. The three larger images comprise an autographed headshot of Paul McCartney; a photo of Ringo Starr and McCartney mid-performance, which is also autographed by McCartney; and a photo of the band's original line-up in Hamburg, autographed by Pete Best, the band's drummer from 1960 to 1962. Some photographs display minor discolouration and crease lines. The lot is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the previous owner of the set. Dimensions (largest photo): 27 cm x 20.25 cm (10 1/2" x 8")

The majority of the unpublished photos feature other bands which performed at the Floral Hall Ballroom on various dates, including Freddie and The Dreamers, Billy J. Kramer & The Dakotas and Joe Brown.
