SOLAR PRODUCTIONS - Steve McQueen's Production Company 1971 Husqvarna 400 Cross Motorcycle - A 1971 Husqvarna 400 Cross motorcycle owned by Steve McQueen's production company, Solar Productions. McQueen, an avid bike enthusiast, owned at least two other Husqvarna Moto-Cross bikes, one of which he rode in the Camp Pendleton sequence of Bruce Brown's 1971 motorcycle documentary On Any Sunday. A second McQueen-owned Moto-Cross appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated in August 1971.

McQueen had a Husqvarna Enduro that he exchanged with Husqvarna Motorcorp West for this specific Moto-Cross numbered MI-4666 circa 1971, as verified by documents between Solar Productions and Husqvarna Motorcorp West circa 1972. The screen captures on this listing depict another example of this same model of bike also owned by McQueen.

This modified bike includes a modified, cut frame, repositioned Koni shocks, a custom swing arm, custom foot pegs, Ceriani forks welded to a custom front backing plate, H.D. fork stops, and a customized front backing plate. It is drained of fluid, rendering it nonfunctional, and no warranty is made regarding its roadworthiness. It exhibits damage to the red finish on its tank, cracked plastic beneath the seat, and grime in the tires from use.

The motorcycle is intended for display purposes only. It is not designed for street use. Due to its copyright status, the public display of the bike must be approved by permission of the copyright holder through a direct arrangement with Propstore upon purchase. A deed of gift will be included. Transportation and shipping quotes should be arranged with Propstore before bidding. Dimensions: 62" x 37" x 45" (157.5 cm x 94 cm x 114.5 cm)
