Uncolored engraved images, both with minor toning. 1. “BATTLE OF PITTSBURGH LANDING, 4.5” x 7.75” image on 6.25” x 9.5” sheet with heavy foxing and glue remnants along top margin, not affecting image. Drawn by W. Momberger, engraved by J. C. McRae, NY, for “Abbott’s Civil War.” Detailed illustration of the dead and dying amidst the raging battlescene in the background. 2. 1866, “LEAVING THE HOSPITAL TENTS FOR THE BATTLEFIELD,” engraved by George E. Perine & Co., NY, 4.25” x 6.2” image on 5.25” x 8.5” sheet--very clean and crisp. Featuring a woman in civilian clothes and a fashionable hat--most likely Clara Barton--riding sidesaddle on a white horse, carrying a flag in one hand, and charging off to the battle field, with hospital tents in the background.
