VOYAGE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE SEA (1964-1968) - Replica Seaview Submarine Model Miniature

A replica of the Seaview submarine model miniature from the television series Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea. Cast from the original surviving outer hull bow, this miniature was developed for the 1995 documentary "The Fantasy Worlds of Irwin Allen."

Constructed of resin and fibreglass/carbon fibre composite, this model miniature submarine was airbrushed with five shades of grey to give the appearance it had in the "Flying Sub" configuration. It features lathed-acrylic light covers with electronics designed to illuminate the conning tower, navigational lamps, flood lamps, and tail lights. The interior contains numerous machined metal components for a bubble effect and parts that require free movement. The observation area features a clear plastic window. This lot exhibits some discolouration, notable residue, a buildup of grime, loose components, component fragility, and the electronics remain untested. Dimensions: 259 cm x 51 cm x 43.25 cm (102" x 20" x 17")

Special shipping required; see notice in the Buyer's Guide.

Contains electronics; see electronics notice in the Buyer's Guide.
