V FOR VENDETTA (2005) - V's (Hugo Weaving) Hero Mask with Binder of Printed Concept Art

V's (Hugo Weaving) hero mask with a binder of printed concept art from the production of James McTeigue's V for Vendetta. V wore his iconic Guy Fawkes mask throughout the film to conceal his individual identity and instead became the embodiment of an idea.

This mask is constructed of fibreglass, while V's so-called "crowd masks" were made from vacuum-formed plastic. It is painted white with black eyebrows and facial hair, pink cheeks and lips, black mesh in the eyes and mouth, and black cotton ties on the sides. Included are a black velveteen storage bag and a black binder labelled with the film's title logo and "Concept Art" containing 34 colour-printed copies of concept art depicting imagery from the film. The mask exhibits some wear, including scuffing, paint chipping, and adhesive residue and paint loss on the forehead from where a wig was previously attached. Dimensions: (largest) 51 cm x 32.5 cm x 12.75 cm (20" x 12.75" x 5")

Estimate: GBP 8000 - 16000 OMEGA
