TOP GUN (1986) - Pete "Maverick" Mitchell (Tom Cruise) Model Miniature

A Pete "Maverick" Mitchell (Tom Cruise) model miniature from Tony Scott's Top Gun. For certain shots, the jets were portrayed using detailed model miniatures complete with miniature representations of the pilots inside the cockpits.

This resin miniature comes with a striped helmet labelled "Mitch" (likely as a humorous nod to Top Gun model maker Mitchell Romanauski), a green launch suit with a VF-1 Eagle patch, an oxygen mask, and a seat. The design details - such as "Mitch" rather than "Maverick" or "Goose VF-1" being marked on the helmet, miscoloured striping, and blurry eagle insignia on the sides - are not accurate to Maverick's life-size ensemble, as miniature artists often took artistic liberties with figures not intended to be seen closely on camera. This model exhibits glue residue on the seat. Dimensions: 9 cm x 6.5 cm x 12.75 cm (3.5" x 2.5" x 5")

Estimate: GBP 3000 - 6000 OMEGA
