<b>Civil War Union Documents</b><hr><b>1862 & 1865, “Quarterly Return of Ordnance and Ordnance Stores,” Lot of 2, Washington, D.C., Extremely Fine.</b>
Two documents related to the return of ordnance by a regiment commanded by John H. Doolittle, who was a first lieutenant promoted to captain by the end of the war. Includes a May 21, 1865 partly printed document, completed in manuscript, on “Ordnance Office / War Department” letterhead, 10” x 8,” detailing the return of Springfield rifle muskets and “accoutrements”; and a folded 19” x 10.5” partly printed form completed in manuscript, titled: “Return of Ordnance and Ordnance Stores,” December 31, 1862, for Company B, 20th Regiment, Connecticut Volunteers Infantry. Documents with normal folds, minor wear, a few edge splits, but quite nice overall. (2 pieces)
