STAR WARS: EPISODE IV - A NEW HOPE (1977) - Framed Hand-Painted Hildebrandt Brothers 1977 Collectors Edition Magazine Cantina Painting - A cantina painting hand-painted by the Hildebrandt Brothers for the 1977 Marvel Star Wars Official Collectors Edition Magazine released as a promotional tie-in with George Lucas' Star Wars: A New Hope. Art by the brothers Greg and Tim Hildebrandt was used throughout the promotion of A New Hope, making them fan favorites of the franchise.

This original full-color painting of the cantina scene is rendered in mixed media on wood-framed canvas and signed "Hildebrandt" in red on the right side. Also included is a copy of the 1977 Marvel Star Wars Official Collectors Edition Magazine, the UK-only version of what was published as The Star Wars Album in the US. This lot has undergone sympathetic repair, and exhibits a build-up of grime from age and exposure with a crack in the frame. Dimensions: 24" x 19.5" x 2" (61 cm x 49.5 cm x 5 cm)
