<b>New York Requisition For Arms, 1818, Fine.</b>
Manuscript Document entitled, 'Requisition for Arms and Accoutrements for three Companies of the 4th Battalion of Artillery Stationed in the Harbor of New York under the Command of Lieut. Col. James House / Fort Columbus / July29th, 1818.' An accounting is made for items such as muskets, bayonets, cartridge boxes, bayonet scabbards, musicians swords and sword belts, etc. The Store Keeper is ordered to issue all of the items in the requisition, by order of Col. Wadsworth, and Peter Melendes signs in receipt of the enumerated items. Light soiling and minor ink transfer; archival tape repairs on verso. Boldly and neatly written.
